The Nationwide Massacre of January 2026

"This website exists to find, verify, and preserve the names of Iran's martyrs. They were ordinary, unarmed Iranians who took to the streets for freedom, and the IRGC and allied forces gunned them down on the orders of Ali Khamenei."

I. The Uprising of January 8–9, 2026

On January 8th and 9th, 2026, Prince Reza Pahlavi called on Iranians to rise for two nights against the Islamic Republic. They answered. Within hours, the people had taken control of parts of several cities. For the first time in decades, a free Iran felt close enough to touch.

II. The Lethal Order & Military Munitions

Then Khamenei saw the threat and gave the order: open fire. This was not hundreds of deaths. It was tens of thousands. Unarmed people were cut down with DShK heavy machine guns, battle rifles, and weapons built for war. What kind of government does this to its own people?

The shooting started on the 8th. Iranians did not flinch. They poured into the streets again on the 9th, certain the regime was finished. Khamenei showed them the same mercy he always has, which is none, and later dismissed them as "disturbers." These were people protesting a worthless currency, a stolen freedom, and a stolen youth.

III. Foreign Mercenaries & The Death Squads

The shooters fired at anyone who looked like a threat. Many were foreign fighters brought in from Iraq and elsewhere. Alongside them were the regime's useful idiots: Iranians who swallowed its propaganda, joined the Basij and IRGC, and came to kill because their leader told them to.

IV. Concealment, Mass Graves & Persecution

Our work is hard. Families are terrified, and most will not risk their safety to tell us about a loved one who was killed. The scale makes it harder. Bodies were stacked and buried in bulk, left in the streets for days, or secretly carried off to unmarked graves.

V. Treatment of Hostages & Survivors

The survivors who didn't escape fared little better. Many sit in prison, wait on the gallows, or live under ankle monitors in their own homes. Those still held hostage are being tortured in body and mind. In the first hours after arrest, many were beaten, raped, and abused with whatever the captors had on hand.

VI. The Inevitable Reckoning

Iranians have not forgotten the killers and never will. The names we gather here are the evidence. One day Iran will rise again, and every one of those responsible will answer for it.
